The HP ProLiant SL230s Gen8 Server is part of the HP ProLiant SL6500 Scalable System of server solutions optimized for the Hyperscale and High Performance Computing market segments. The server series is designed to reduce solution costs, maximize power efficiency, and to ease customer serviceability. The 1U half width tray is designed for compute density, higher performance CPU implementation greater configurable options. The Gen8 solutions will feature increased flexibility through a variety of configuration options including internal storage options, networking implementation adapters and other riser card options. This allows customers a greater ability to match technology and form factor preferences to best align with their needs and implementation timing. The s6500 Chassis is 4U and can accommodate up to eight 1U, half-width servers, all individually serviceable. The chassis also features front cabling and common slot power supplies and fans for ease of service.
