The six 10GB FlexFabric ports combined with the seven mezzanine slots yield an outstanding 192 GB of I/O bandwidth. This expandability and performance makes traditional multi-processor (MP) rack to blade transition a true reality. By designing a balanced architecture, the server is a very unique 4P blade offering that ensures all subsystems are used effectively. Traditional MP blades are typically unbalanced, providing processor performance and density at the expense of proportional memory and I/O bandwidth. As such, these unbalanced servers often fail when faced with larger databases, higher-density virtualization applications and general data-intensive applications.
